1) Culture
Finding the right culture is crucial for your internship learning and experience. Basically, large corporations have more rules and formality within their culture, whereas startups usually have a casual and flexible working culture whereby you can literally wear sweatpants and T-shirt for work. You should always do some research about the company that you're interested in to know what is the culture like before going for the internship because the more you fit in, the more productive you will be.
2) Freedom
Once you intern for a startup company, you'll fall in love with the freedom that you attain from it. Freedom of choice. Freedom with time. Getting an idea at 10am and being able to speak directly to your bosses can result in far better work productivity with result. Something that may take weeks and months of submission and approval processes at a large company may take only a ''YES'' from your boss at a small one even if you are an intern.

3) Responsibilities
You are likely to have a specific role and responsibilities outlined for you if you intern for a big company. At a start-up, you get to experiment with various of tasks and job scopes alternatively. For instance, if you're an intern for Digital Marketing at a startup, you might need to create social media content, write some scripts for video content and even do live streaming for your company's social media platform. Now that's what we call - on job training! In contra, you only need to generate social media content if you intern for a large corporation.
