Position Overview

The Research Assistant executes daily experimental operations and data collection for research projects focused on sustainable bioprocessing of microbes/biomasses. The candidate will manage routine bench-scale experimental runs, maintain analytical instruments, process quantitative datasets, and draft preliminary technical reports to support project milestones and peer-reviewed publications.

Key Responsibilities

• Experimental Execution: Conduct laboratory experiments according to standard operating procedures, including sample preparation, bioreactions, separations, and routine analytical testing.
• Data Processing & Analysis: Record, compile, and analyze experimental datasets with proper statistical validation.
• Technical Documentation: Draft progress reports, literature reviews, and preliminary manuscripts for publication.
• Laboratory Operations & Safety: Maintain shared equipment, monitor chemical inventories, and adhere strictly to laboratory safety protocols.
