WE’RE HIRING | EVENT ORGANISER

Location: Bertam Resort & Water Park Penang, Kepala Batas

We are looking for a creative, organised and service-oriented Event Organiser to manage weddings, corporate functions, social celebrations and other special events at our resort.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate wedding events from the initial enquiry until completion
• Meet clients to understand their vision, budget and event requirements
• Prepare event proposals, packages, quotations, timelines and checklists
• Conduct site inspections and venue presentations for prospective clients
• Coordinate wedding setups, decorations, menus, accommodation and event schedules
• Liaise with internal departments, including Sales, Banquet, F&B, Kitchen, Front Office and Housekeeping
• Coordinate with external vendors such as decorators, photographers, entertainment providers and wedding planners
• Manage corporate events, private functions, festive celebrations and other resort activities
• Monitor event preparation and remain present during events to ensure smooth execution
• Handle last-minute changes, operational challenges and client requests professionally
• Conduct post-event follow-up and collect client feedback
• Support event sales activities and achieve assigned revenue targets

Requirements:

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in wedding planning, event management or hotel events
• Strong experience in coordinating weddings and social functions is preferred
• Excellent organisational, communication and client-servicing skills
• Creative, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple events simultaneously
• Comfortable working with budgets, quotations, timelines and vendors
• Able to work independently and collaborate with operational teams
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, based on event requirements
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Experience working in a hotel or resort environment will be an advantage

Pay: From RM2,000.00 per month
