Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Ipoh. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately, review prescriptions for safety and appropriateness, and provide clear counseling on medication usage, side effects, and health management. The role involves conducting medication reviews, supporting chronic disease management, and offering health advice in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The Pharmacist will help maintain proper inventory levels, ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards, and support health campaigns and community outreach programs. Additional responsibilities include documenting patient interactions, contributing to continuous quality improvement, and mentoring pharmacy support staff.

Qualifications

• Professional pharmacy qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or equivalent, valid pharmacist registration, and current practicing certificate.
• Clinical and technical skills: Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutic guidelines; ability to perform accurate dispensing and prescription screening.
• Patient care and communication: Ability to provide clear, empathetic counseling, support medication adherence, and communicate effectively with diverse patient groups and healthcare teams.
• Regulatory and safety awareness: Familiarity with local pharmacy regulations, good dispensing practices, documentation standards, and medication safety protocols.
• Operational and teamwork skills: Attention to detail, time management, ability to work in a fast-paced community pharmacy setting, and willingness to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Language and digital skills: Proficiency in English and relevant local languages, basic computer literacy, and ability to use pharmacy systems and digital tools.
• Additional beneficial attributes: Experience in community pharmacy, interest in public health and health promotion, and commitment to continuous professional development.
