Role Description The Project Architect – Design & Development (D&D) Division is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This position is responsible for leading the design and development of housing projects, including conceptual design, detailed drawings, and coordination with internal teams and external consultants. The Project Architect will prepare and review architectural submittals, ensure design compliance with regulatory and sustainability standards, and manage project documentation throughout the lifecycle of each project. Daily responsibilities include overseeing Building Information Modeling (BIM) workflows, supporting project management activities such as scheduling and progress tracking, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to align design solutions with client and community needs. The role also involves contributing to design reviews, resolving technical issues, and promoting best practices in architecture and sustainable development.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Architecture skills, including conceptual design, technical detailing, and coordination of construction documentation.
- Candidates should possess Project Management skills, with the ability to plan tasks, monitor progress, manage timelines, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Submittals, including preparation, review, and tracking of drawings, specifications, and regulatory documents.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to develop, coordinate, and maintain accurate digital models and project data.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or similar sustainability frameworks to support environmentally responsible design.
- Professional degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification; registration or eligibility for registration as an architect is an advantage.
- Experience in residential or urban development projects, preferably within the Malaysian context or similar markets.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to inclusive, ethical, and safety-conscious practice.
- Proficiency in relevant design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
