About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Internship for IT Networking. This is a contract-based position located in Kelana Jaya, Selangor, offering you a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the networks and systems administration sector. As an intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals, learning industry best practices whilst contributing to the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical network infrastructure. This role is instrumental in helping you build a solid foundation in IT networking and prepare for a successful career in this dynamic field.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with the installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of network equipment and systems

• Supporting the monitoring and maintenance of network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and uptime

• Helping to document network configurations, procedures, and changes in accordance with company standards

• Participating in network security assessments and implementing recommended security measures under supervision

• Assisting with the deployment and testing of network solutions for clients

• Supporting IT staff in resolving network-related issues and tickets

• Learning and applying networking protocols, tools, and best practices in a practical environment

• Contributing to the maintenance of network documentation and technical records

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

• Foundational knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, switching, and DNS

• Familiarity with network configuration tools and operating systems such as Windows or Linux

• Strong problem-solving skills and a logical approach to technical challenges

• Excellent communication abilities and the capacity to work effectively within a team

• Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate documentation

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Cisco CCNA are advantageous

• Prior internship or practical experience in IT support or networking is preferred but not essential
