You’ll explore AI use cases, analyze forecast performance, and support impactful S&OP processes serving baristas, bakers, and foodservice professionals across the region.

You will join the Demand Planning & S&OP team for FrieslandCampina Professional Asia, supporting a fast-growing business that delivers dairy solutions to the heroes of food - baristas, bakers, chefs, and foodservice operators across channels such as Coffee & Tea (C&T), Quick Service Restaurants, and Industrial.In this internship, your main mission is to drive continuous improvement in demand planning, with a strong focus on leveraging AI and analytics to enhance how we forecast and plan.You will work closely with demand planners, commercial teams, supply planning, and regional stakeholders to identify opportunities, test solutions, and deliver tangible improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Forecast Accuracy & Deep Diveso Analyze forecast vs. actual performance across marketso Identify root causes of varianceso Translate insights into actionable recommendations

• Forecast Value Add (FVA) Analysiso Evaluate the impact of each step in the forecasting processo Identify where human input improves or reduces forecast accuracyo Recommend simplifications and best practices to increase planning efficiency

• Demand Segmentationo Segment product portfolio (e.g. stable, seasonal, promotional, volatile demand)o Propose differentiated forecasting approaches per segmento Support implementation of segmentation into planning processes

• AI & Automation Explorationo Explore how AI tools (e.g. forecasting models, copilots, automation) can improve planning workflowso Pilot small use cases (e.g. automated insights, anomaly detection, demand sensing concepts)o Support building business cases for scaling solutions

• Continuous Improvement Projectso Map current planning processes and identify inefficiencieso Design and implement improvements (tools, templates, dashboards)o Standardize best practices across markets

• Data & Dashboard Developmento Build and maintain dashboards (e.g. forecast accuracy, bias, KPIs)o Improve data usability for planners and stakeholders

o Support monthly S&OP reporting

• S&OP Process Support

o Participate in demand review meetings

o Support preparation of key insights and visuals

o Collaborate with commercial and supply teams on assumptions
