Senior Application Support Executive (RM4000 - RM5000)

JOB PURPOSE:

•       Responsible to provide system and functional support for key business applications, including SCM, ERP, Batching Plant system, softphone system and other online system.

•       Assists in implementing application-related projects across the Central and Eastern regions, including HQ and the Plant.

•       Analyzing business data, creating reports and dashboards to support decision-making, training end users, resolving system issues, and promoting the use of AI and digital tools to automate workflows and improve efficiency.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Application System Administration & Operational Support

Act as System and Functional Administrator for the SCM system, Batching Plant system, softphone system, and other online systems, providing front-end and back-end support for daily operations.

·       Application Project Coordination & Implementation

Assist in planning, coordinating, and implementing application-related projects within division to ensure successful delivery within the timeline and aligned with business needs.

·       End-User Support & Application Training

Provide first-level support and conduct training for end users on ERP system and Office productivity tools, especially Microsoft Office, to enhance user efficiency and system adoption.

·       Management & Operational Reporting

Create and modify ad-hoc and scheduled management or exception reports using existing reporting tools to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of business information.

·       Business Data Analysis & Process Optimization

Explore and analyze datasets to identify trends and insights that support business process optimization, enabling faster, user-friendly, and more efficient operations.

·       Dashboard & Data Visualization Development

Transform complex and diverse datasets into clear and meaningful dashboards for operational monitoring and management decision support.

·       ICT Policy & Documentation Maintenance

Assist in maintaining and updating ICT Policies, Procedures, User Guides, and System Documentation to ensure consistency, standardization, and audit readiness.

·       AI Tools Utilization & Process Automation Initiatives

Apply and promote the use of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Power Automate AI Builder, Data Models) to automate routine tasks, enhance data insights, and support digital innovation initiatives across departments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION & COMPETENCIES

Qualification / Formal Education

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or equivalent.

Desired experience/exposure

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting or managing ERP/SCM/ Plant systems.

·       Hands-on experience with Windows Server, MS SQL Database, Postgres Database, or similar platforms.

·       Experience in ETL development, data processing, or integration between multiple business systems.

·       Understanding of business process workflows across ERP/SCM/Batching Plant systems.

·       Ability to troubleshoot system issues and support functional users.

·       Intermediate knowledge of MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL for data extraction and manipulation.

·       Understanding of ETL concepts and experience with ETL tools.

·       Able to analyze, interpret, and visualize data to derive insights.

·       Familiar with Power BI, Business Objects, Jet Report, or SQL-based reporting tools.

·       Able to write SQL scripts or use basic programming languages such as Python (advantage).

·       Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications including Power BI, PowerApps, Microsoft Forms, and Power Automate.
