Key responsibilities

• Assist experienced welders in the preparation and setup of welding equipment and workstations
• Perform basic welding tasks under close supervision, including tig, mig, and arc welding techniques
• Clean, inspect and prepare metal surfaces prior to welding operations
• Follow all health and safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal components and structures
• Maintain a clean and organised work area and contribute to overall workplace safety
• Learn and apply quality control standards and practices to ensure finished products meet specifications
• Support the welding team with general manufacturing and material handling duties as required
