Job Summary
Oversee and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations within the Company. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, and dispatch of raw materials, finished goods and engineering items. The role requires strict adherence to occupational safety, chemical handling, environmental, and Company procedures, while maintaining accurate inventory records and smooth material flow to support production and customer requirements.
Job Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
- Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, unloading, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure raw materials are stored according to their specifications, hazard classification and designated storage requirements.
- Ensure proper identification, labelling, segregation and housekeeping of raw materials and finished goods.
- Coordinate the movement of raw materials to production according to production requirements.
- Ensure finished goods are properly stored and dispatched according to customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Monitor warehouse space utilization and ensure efficient storage arrangements.
- Coordinate loading and unloading activities with transporters, suppliers, production, and other relevant departments.
2. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, finished goods and engineering items.
- Participate in half-yearly stock counts.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, stock variances, damaged materials and stock shortages.
- Monitor stock levels and highlight slow-moving, excess, obsolete or near-expiry materials.
- Apply FIFO / FEFO principles where applicable.
3. Chemical Handling & Safety
- Ensure all chemical handling, storage and movement activities comply with Company safety procedures and applicable Malaysian requirements.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is used during chemical handling and warehouse activities.
- Ensure chemicals are properly segregated based on compatibility and storage requirements.
- Report chemical spills, leaks, damaged containers, unsafe conditions and incidents immediately.
- Ensure good housekeeping and maintain warehouse areas in a safe and orderly condition.
4. Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for receiving, issuing, transferring and dispatching materials.
- Verify delivery orders, goods received notes, material requisitions and other relevant documents.
- Ensure proper documentation and traceability for raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure warehouse records are complete, accurate and readily available for internal and external audits.
- Support compliance with Company procedures, ISO requirements, safety standards, environmental requirements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
5. Production & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate closely with Production, Purchasing, Quality Control/Quality Assurance, Sales and Customer Care teams to ensure smooth operational coordination.
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials to support uninterrupted production activities.
- Coordinate the availability and dispatch of finished goods according in line with customer requirements and delivery timelines.
6. Team & Warehouse Supervision
- Supervise Warehouse General Workers.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor work performance.
- Ensure Warehouse General Workers follow SOPs, work instructions, safety requirements and proper material handling practices.
- Provide internal training to Warehouse General Workers on safe handling, warehouse procedures and equipment usage.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, productivity and compliance within the Warehouse General Workers.
7. Warehouse Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, storage utilization and material flow.
- Implement 5S and good housekeeping practices.
Job Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in a chemical manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
- Experience supervising warehouse personnel is preferred.
- Good knowledge of warehouse and inventory management practices.
- Good understanding of chemical storage, handling, segregation and safety requirements.
- Familiarity with FIFO/FEFO, stock control and inventory reconciliation.
- Good knowledge of warehouse documentation and material traceability.
- Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Applications and SQL systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with multiple departments.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
