Requirements

We are seeking an experienced Hotel Aircond Technician to join our engineering and maintenance team. In the hospitality sector, guest comfort is our absolute priority. You will be responsible for ensuring that all cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems across guest rooms, public areas, ballrooms, and back-of-house facilities are operating flawlessly. In addition to specialized air-conditioning work, you will assist with general hotel maintenance requests to ensure a safe, efficient.

• HVAC Maintenance & Servicing: Execute daily, weekly, and scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on all hotel cooling systems, including centralized chillers, VRF/VRV units, split units, and Air Handling Units (AHUs).
• Promptly attend to guest room maintenance requests via the hotel’s internal communication or ticketing system to troubleshoot and resolve air conditioning complaints (e.g., cooling issues, water leaks, noisy units) with minimal disruption to the guest.
• Inspect and maintain hotel commercial refrigeration systems, including kitchen walk-in freezers, chillers, and mini-bars.
• Assist the engineering team with general handyman duties as required, including minor electrical work (replacing bulbs/switches), basic plumbing (unclogging drains), and minor cosmetic room touch-ups.

Qualifications

• SPM or a vocational certificate/diploma in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (Mechanical / Building Services Engineering).
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience handling HVAC systems, preferably within a hotel, resort, or commercial property environment.
• Valid CIDB green card and a certified wiring license (such as Suruhanjaya Tenaga wireman categories) are highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic troubleshooting for commercial split units and central centralized cooling networks, including refrigerant handling, brazing, and reading electrical schematics.
• Physical & Schedule Demands: Physically fit to carry equipment, climb ladders, and comfortably work in shifts (morning, afternoon, or night rotations), including public holidays and weekends.
• Language & Attitude: Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and basic English (to interact politely with hotel guests when performing in-room repairs).
