The Risk & Compliance Officer supports the Group in establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Corporate Compliance Framework. The role is responsible for coordinating risk management activities across the Group, monitoring compliance with applicable regulatory and statutory requirements, and supporting the Group’s Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption (ABAC) governance framework.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

• Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Group’s ERM Framework.
• Facilitate risk identification, assessment, evaluation, mitigation, and monitoring across business units and functions.
• Maintain and regularly update the Group Risk Register.
• Coordinate periodic risk reviews with relevant stakeholders and follow up on risk mitigation actions.
• Prepare ERM reports, dashboards, and updates for Management and the Board Risk Committee.
• Support strategic risk assessments, emerging risk identification, and horizon-scanning activities.
• Promote risk awareness and embed risk management practices across the Group.

2. Corporate Compliance Management

• Oversee and coordinate the Group’s Corporate Compliance Programme.
• Monitor compliance with applicable regulatory and statutory requirements, including Bursa Malaysia, Securities Commission (SC), and Companies Act requirements.
• Develop and maintain compliance monitoring plans and track remediation actions.
• Assist in identifying and assessing compliance risks across the Group.
• Review, update, and maintain relevant policies, procedures, and SOPs to ensure continued regulatory and organisational alignment.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on the Group.

3. Anti-Bribery & Anti-Corruption (ABAC)

• Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Group’s ABAC Framework in alignment with the T.R.U.S.T. principles.
• Coordinate ABAC due diligence activities for relevant business partners, third parties, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain and monitor relevant ABAC declarations, Gifts & Hospitality (G&H) registers, and supporting documentation.
• Support the management and documentation of potential ABAC incidents and internal investigations.
• Coordinate ABAC audits, assessments, and related follow-up actions.
• Develop and conduct ABAC awareness programmes and training across the Group.
• Promote awareness of ethical business practices and anti-corruption requirements.

4. Governance & Reporting

• Prepare Board papers, management reports, risk reports, and compliance updates.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit and other relevant functions on risk, compliance, and governance matters.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date governance, risk, and compliance documentation.
• Support the preparation and coordination of materials for relevant Board and management committees.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and records are maintained for audit and regulatory purposes.

5. Training & Awareness

• Develop and conduct ERM, corporate compliance, ABAC, and governance awareness programmes for employees across the Group.
• Facilitate risk and compliance workshops with business units and functional teams.
• Promote a strong risk and compliance culture through continuous communication and awareness initiatives.
• Provide guidance to business units on risk management, compliance, and ABAC-related matters.
