Account Executive

Humaira Design is looking for a competent, experienced and responsible Account Executive to join our team in Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam, Penang.

We are looking for someone who has strong accounting fundamentals, is detail-oriented and can manage accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision.

This role is suitable for candidates who understand that accounting is not just about data entry, but also about accuracy, reconciliation, reporting, analysis and identifying problems before they become bigger issues.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate accounting records.
• Manage full set of accounts, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL).
• Perform bank reconciliation and other account reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
• Assist in cash flow monitoring and financial planning.
• Prepare accounting schedules and supporting documents for month-end closing.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis and management reporting.
• Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate and up to date.
• Liaise with internal departments regarding accounting and financial matters.
• Assist with audit, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Identify accounting discrepancies, investigate the causes and take appropriate corrective action.
• Support the management in financial reporting, analysis and other finance-related matters.
• Continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in Accounting / Finance.
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
Strong knowledge of full set accounts.
Good understanding of AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation and month-end closing.
Able to prepare financial reports and management reports.
Able to review transactions and ensure they are recorded accurately.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Detail-oriented, systematic and highly attentive to accuracy.
Able to work with minimum supervision.
Able to identify accounting issues and take action to resolve them, rather than simply waiting for instructions.
High level of integrity and accountability.

Key Responsibilities
