DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build and maintain relationships with architects, C&S consultants, quantity surveyors, developers and project owners in Selangor, KL and Johor.
• Engage projects early, at design and design-development stage, to influence material selection before the bill of quantities is issued.
• Conduct technical presentations, product briefings and CPD-style seminars at architect and consultant offices.
• Prepare and submit specification documents, technical data sheets, material confirmation sheets and product approval submissions.
• Identify and track upcoming projects, maintaining a live project pipeline and an up-to-date database of specifier contacts — all recorded in the company system.
• Defend specifications against substitution by competitors between design stage and award, and work with the sales team to convert specified projects into orders.
• Provide technical support on profile selection, coating and colour, spanning, fixing details and compliance requirements.
• Report market intelligence — competitor activity, pricing movements and project pipeline updates — to the Managing Director.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building or Construction Management.
• 3 to 5 years in specification work, technical sales or consultative selling in building materials. Candidates from metal roofing, steel building products, insulation, waterproofing or architectural finishes are all relevant.
• Existing working relationships with architects and consultants.
• Comfortable presenting to professional audiences.
• Own transport and willing to travel; valid driving license.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
