We are looking for a Production Planner to join our Planning team in Malaysia and help ensure our production activities run smoothly, efficiently, and on schedule

In this role, you will coordinate production schedules, manage material availability and WIP, and work closely with Production and other cross-functional teams to keep manufacturing on track. You’ll play an important role in ensuring the right materials and resources are available at the right time to meet production and customer requirements

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate the flow of materials between production stages in producing Ichor products for specific planner groups
• Review production schedules and identify upcoming requirements for materials, equipment, and resources.
• Monitor WIP and work orders, identify variances, and work with Production and Stores to ensure accurate and timely material management
• Resolve production and material issues promptly to minimize delays and keep production schedules on track
• Manage changes to WIP jobs and work orders, ensuring updates are properly coordinated with relevant teams
• Coordinate production priorities based on material, manpower, equipment availability, and production requirements
• Monitor progress against production schedules and proactively highlight potential risks or delays to the relevant stakeholders
• Prepare and communicate production status and performance reports to management in a timely manner
• Collaborate across departments to improve production flow, meet deadlines, and maintain smooth day-to-day manufacturing operations

Responsibilities

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or a similar manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems used for production and material planning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for planning, analysis, and reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and take timely action
• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and production deadlines
• Strong communication and coordination skills when working with Production, Stores, Supply Chain, and other teams
• Able to work independently with moderate supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
