Job Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect to design and deliver scalable cloud solutions for business and technology initiatives. The role will work closely with clients, engineering teams, cloud specialists, and project stakeholders to translate business requirements into practical and reliable technology solutions.

The position will support cloud adoption, application modernisation, digital transformation, and selected AI-enabled initiatives across different customer environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Develop cloud architecture designs, technical specifications, solution blueprints, and implementation plans.
• Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Assess existing applications and infrastructure and recommend suitable cloud migration or modernisation approaches.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams throughout solution design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Support the integration of cloud services with existing applications, databases, APIs, and enterprise systems.
• Evaluate cloud technologies and recommend suitable platforms, services, and architecture patterns.
• Apply appropriate security, access control, availability, performance, and scalability considerations to solution designs.
• Support proof-of-concept activities and technical evaluations where required.
• Monitor solution performance and identify opportunities for cloud optimisation and cost efficiency.
• Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, implementation guidelines, and project materials.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support digital transformation initiatives involving cloud, automation, data platforms, and AI-related technologies.
• Work with internal teams and technology partners to ensure solutions are delivered according to agreed requirements.
• Keep up to date with developments in cloud technologies, architecture practices, and emerging digital solutions.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in cloud architecture, solution architecture, IT consulting, or technology delivery.
• Practical experience with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, databases, APIs, and application integration.
• Familiarity with cloud migration, application modernisation, and cloud-native technologies.
• Understanding of security, identity and access management, availability, backup, and disaster recovery concepts.
• Familiarity with containers, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, or DevOps practices is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Able to work effectively with clients, technical teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Experience in IT consulting or a system integration environment will be an advantage.
• Relevant AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
