We are looking for a Procurement Executive who is technically minded, commercially aware, organised, and proactive.. This is a hands-on role suitable for an engineering or procurement professional who enjoys working across technical product sourcing, supplier coordination, purchasing and project requirements.

The Job :

· Manage the end-to-end procurement process for valves, gauges, industrial instruments, fittings, and related engineering products.

· Review customer requirements, specifications, datasheets, drawings, and technical information to identify suitable products and suppliers.

· Source and evaluate local and overseas suppliers based on price, quality, technical capability, lead time, and reliability.

· Obtain and compare supplier quotations, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and prepare purchase orders.

· Liaise with suppliers to clarify technical specifications, product standards, certifications, delivery schedules, and documentation requirements.

· Work closely with the Sales and Engineering teams to identify suitable products and alternatives based on customer requirements and budget.

· Review supplier quotations and ensure the proposed products meet required specifications before purchasing.

· Monitor purchase orders and follow up closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.

· Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics team on incoming goods, delivery arrangements, and shipment status.

· Resolve procurement issues such as delivery delays, incorrect items, quality issues, shortages, and discrepancies.

· Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, quotations, purchase orders, and delivery documentation.

· Develop and maintain good working relationships with existing suppliers while identifying and qualifying new suppliers when required.

· Support cost-saving initiatives, supplier evaluation, and continuous improvement of procurement processes.

· Assist with technical and commercial enquiries from customers when required.

· Perform other procurement and engineering-related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements :

· Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

· 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, engineering, or industrial equipment is preferred.

· Experience in valves, instrumentation, gauges, pumps, piping products, or other industrial equipment will be an advantage.

· Good understanding of technical specifications, engineering drawings, datasheets, and product catalogues.

· Comfortable communicating with suppliers and reviewing technical and commercial quotations.

· Good negotiation, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

· Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage due to communication with certain suppliers.

· Experience with ERP systems is an advantage.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple purchasing activities simultaneously.

· Able to work independently in a fast-paced SME environment where flexibility and initiative are important.

Willing to learn and develop knowledge of industrial valves, gauges, instrumentation, and related engineering products.

Pay: From RM2,500.00 per month
