The Employee’s Key Responsibilities are as below:
- Diagnose vehicle or machinery issues: Technicians use diagnostic equipment and tools to identify problems with engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, and other components. They may also listen to customers’ descriptions of problems to determine the cause.
- Repair and replace parts: Technicians perform repairs and replacements on/of faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. They follow manufacturers’ guidelines and safety protocols while using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance: Technicians conduct routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire services and filter replacements to keep vehicles and machinery running smoothly and prevent breakdowns.
- Conduct inspections: Technicians inspect vehicles and machinery to assess their condition and identify potential issues. They may perform safety inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
- Test drive vehicles: Technicians test drive repaired vehicles to verify that the issues have been resolved and that they are functioning correctly. They listen for unusual noises, check for vibrations, and assess overall performance.
- Provide estimates: Technicians evaluate repair needs and provide cost estimates to customers. They explain the necessary repairs and recommend maintenance schedules to prevent future problems.
- Maintain records: Technicians keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and inspections. They document parts used, labor hours, and any additional services provided to ensure accurate billing and warranty tracking.
- Stay updated on industry trends: Technicians stay informed about advancements in automotive technology, new repair techniques, and safety regulations. They may attend training sessions and workshops to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- To ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the business premises.
Job Requirements
- Excellent parts knowledge and understanding of the Asian & Europe vehicle’s mechanical components.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical and computer control systems.
- Good diagnostic and problem solving skills, and reasoning ability.
- Able to use independent judgment to fix or proffer solution(s) to problem(s) in real time.
- Able to function independently and multi-task.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the company and ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Innovative and ability to learn and adapt fast to changes in diagnostic and repair technology.
- Customer service orientation.
- Coordination and physical stamina.
- At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
