Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Preventive Maintenance (PM) according to schedule for all production machinery (cutting machines, CNC, centerless grinders, buffing machines, and the hard chrome plating system)
• Troubleshoot and repair machine breakdowns promptly to minimize production downtime
• Maintain electrical systems (panels, wiring, control boxes) and mechanical components (motors, bearings, gearboxes) of factory machinery
• Maintain equipment specific to the hard chrome plating process: rectifier/power supply, heating/cooling systems, chemical tanks and pumps, washing/rinsing systems
• Ensure safety systems are functioning properly (exhaust/ventilation, spill containment, safety guards, emergency stops)
• Perform machine calibration to ensure product quality (dimension, thread accuracy, etc.)
• Maintain support equipment such as forklifts, trolleys, and conveyors
• Record maintenance logs/checklists for each machine
• Liaise with external vendors for major repairs or specialized servicing
• Be on standby for emergency callouts in the event of breakdowns outside working hours

Requirements

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in factory maintenance (experience with CNC, grinding, or electroplating/chrome plating processes is an advantage)
• Able to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Willing to work shifts/on-call when required
• Basic understanding of chemical handling safety is an advantage
• Basic welding skills are an added advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
