Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on and proactive IT Executive to manage and support the company's overall IT infrastructure, systems, devices, network, CCTV, IoT solutions, communication systems and related technology across all company premises.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all IT equipment and systems are properly maintained, secure, operational and available to support the company's daily business operations.
Key Responsibilities1. IT Infrastructure & System Management
- Manage and maintain the company's overall IT infrastructure, systems and technology equipment.
- Monitor and maintain company computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other IT peripherals.
- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Manage user accounts, system access, software installation and basic IT security requirements.
- Ensure IT equipment is properly maintained, updated and replaced when necessary.
- Maintain an updated inventory and record of all IT assets and equipment.
2. Network & Internet Management
- Monitor and maintain the company's LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, switches, routers and related network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot network, internet and connectivity issues.
- Monitor network performance and identify potential connectivity or infrastructure issues.
- Liaise with Internet Service Providers (ISP), vendors and contractors for installation, maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ensure reliable internet connectivity across offices and company premises.
3. CCTV & Security System
- Manage and maintain the company's CCTV surveillance systems.
- Plan and coordinate suitable CCTV placement and coverage for offices, facilities, hotels and other company premises.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot CCTV cameras, NVR/DVR systems, monitors and related equipment.
- Ensure CCTV systems are operational and recordings are properly maintained.
- Monitor CCTV system health and coordinate repair or replacement of faulty equipment.
- Liaise with vendors and contractors for CCTV installation, upgrades and maintenance.
4. IoT & Smart Technology Systems
- Manage, monitor and troubleshoot company IoT devices and smart technology systems.
- Support the installation, configuration and integration of IoT devices with existing IT infrastructure.
- Monitor connectivity and functionality of IoT devices and identify system failures.
- Coordinate with relevant vendors and service providers for IoT-related issues and system improvements.
- Explore and recommend suitable technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
5. Office Telephone & Communication Systems
- Manage and maintain company office telephone systems, including telephone lines, extensions, IP phones and related communication equipment.
- Troubleshoot telephone, extension and communication system issues.
- Coordinate with telecommunications providers and vendors for installation, maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain an updated record of telephone lines, extensions and assigned users/departments.
6. IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-level and hands-on technical support to employees across the company.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, email, connectivity and system-related issues.
- Attend to IT support requests in a timely manner.
- Provide onsite support when required at different company locations.
- Escalate complex technical issues to external vendors or specialised service providers when necessary.
7. IT Security & Data Protection
- Implement and monitor basic IT security measures across company devices and systems.
- Ensure computers and systems are updated with the latest security patches and antivirus protection.
- Monitor unauthorised access, suspicious activities and potential security risks.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate backup procedures for important company data.
- Ensure company IT equipment and information are handled securely and confidentially.
8. Vendor & Project Management
- Liaise with IT vendors, contractors, telecommunications providers and system providers.
- Obtain quotations and provide recommendations for IT equipment, systems and services.
- Coordinate IT installation, upgrading, maintenance and repair projects.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure work is completed according to agreed requirements.
- Assist management in evaluating and implementing new IT systems and technology.
9. IT Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain proper records of IT assets, systems, network infrastructure and equipment.
- Maintain documentation of CCTV locations, network layouts, telephone extensions and IoT devices.
- Prepare regular IT status and incident reports for management.
- Track IT maintenance schedules, warranties, licences and service contracts.
- Maintain records of IT incidents, troubleshooting and resolutions.
10. Other Responsibilities
- Provide IT support during company events, system implementation and operational activities.
- Assist in IT-related projects and system upgrades as assigned by management.
- Recommend improvements to existing IT systems and infrastructure.
- Ensure all IT facilities and systems are properly maintained and operational.
- Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of relevant working experience in IT support, infrastructure, networking or systems administration.
- Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in hardware, software, network and connectivity issues.
- Experience in managing CCTV systems, NVR/DVR and IP cameras.
- Experience with networking equipment, routers, switches, Wi-Fi and LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Knowledge or experience in IoT and smart technology systems is an added advantage.
- Experience managing office telephone systems, IP phones or telecommunications systems is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365 and common business applications.
- Knowledge of IT security, antivirus, backup and access control.
- Good vendor and service-provider management skills.
- Able to work independently and respond to urgent IT issues when required.
- Willing to travel between company premises/sites when necessary.
- Good communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
