About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join our team in Shah Alam. This position plays a critical role in supporting the company's financial operations by ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Match invoices with purchase orders and delivery documentation.

• Ensure timely and accurate payment processing.

• Reconcile vendor statements and supplier accounts.

• Monitor outstanding payables and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation.

• Prepare and manage payment schedules and payment runs.

• Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting processes.

• Assist with audit requirements and supporting documentation.

About you

• Strong finance knowledge including cash flow, budgeting, and basic financial analysis.

• Solid accounting fundamentals and familiarity with general ledger postings.

• Experience in account reconciliation and variance resolution.

• Experience in invoice processing, invoice matching, and payment preparation.

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is an advantage.
