Role Overview

We are hiring a Specification Executive for a well-established company in the interior surfacing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting high-quality laminate products and driving product specifications across commercial and residential projects. This role involves building strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and other project decision-makers to increase product adoption, project specifications, and brand visibility within the design and construction sector.

Job Description

• Promote and secure specifications of laminate products across commercial and residential projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, and other key project stakeholders.
• Conduct regular visits to architecture and design firms to introduce products, collections, and technical solutions.
• Present and demonstrate laminate products, finishes, applications, and product benefits to clients.
• Identify upcoming projects and actively follow up on opportunities to ensure products are included in project specifications.
• Monitor project progress from the design and specification stage through to project completion.
• Build and maintain a database of architects, designers, contractors, and project leads.
• Generate new business opportunities through project research, networking, referrals, and market activities.
• Work closely with distributors and the sales team to ensure smooth project conversion and product availability.
• Provide product samples, catalogues, technical information, and other relevant materials to clients.
• Keep updated on market trends, competitor activities, new projects, and developments within the interior and building materials industry.
• Prepare regular reports on project pipeline, specification activities, client visits, and business opportunities.
• Participate in exhibitions, product launches, seminars, and other marketing activities to strengthen brand presence.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in specification, sales, business development, or related roles.
• Experience in Building Materials, Interior Finishes, Laminates, Furniture, Paint, Sanitaryware, Flooring, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Experience dealing with architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, or other A&D professionals is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Target-driven, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
• Good project follow-up and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel for client and project visits when required.
• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
