We're Hiring: Senior Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate interior design, technical development and project delivery from concept to completion.
- Develop design concepts, space planning, materials, finishes and FF&E in line with project brief, budget and programme.
- Manage day-to-day design, technical coordination, project management and contract administration matters.
- Coordinate with ID Director, Project Director, Architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ensure effective coordination between interior design, architecture, M&E, structural and other disciplines.
- Prepare and coordinate CAD technical drawings, construction details, specifications and tender documentation.
- Coordinate authority submissions, approvals and regulatory requirements where applicable.
- Assist with tender preparation, contractor queries, technical clarifications and tender evaluation.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers on materials, finishes/FF&E, samples, specifications and lead times.
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, samples, mock-ups and technical proposals for compliance with design intent.
- Attend consultants, project and site meetings and conduct site inspections.
- Monitor construction progress, workmanship, quality and design implementation.
- Identify, record and resolve defects, non-conformances, quality issues and site discrepancies.
- Coordinate inspection, testing, commissioning and handover activities where required.
- Review contractor programme, sequencing and resource planning, highlighting risks and delays.
- Monitor cost implications, variations and additional works, subject to approval authority.
- Maintain accurate drawings, specifications, schedules, correspondence, submissions and project records.
- Provide technical leadership and practical solutions to design and construction challenges.
- Mentor and guide junior/intermediate designers and review their design and technical output.
- Perform other design, technical, site and project-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- .Possessed Relevant Diploma / Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or related discipline.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant interior design experience.
- Strong knowledge of interior design development, technical detailing and documentation.
- Experience in tender preparation, contract administration and site coordination.
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, FF&E and construction methods.
- Experience in coordination with consultants, contractors/vendors and multidisciplinary teams.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3DsMax and relevant design/presentation software. Adept and knowledgeable with A.I. is an advantage
- Strong design, technical, communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and design excellence.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to guide junior designers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.
