Jati Tinggi Holding Sdn Bhd is expanding its Commercial Department and is seeking suitable candidates for the following positions:
- Costing & Contracts Executive – Pre-Contract/Tender
- Junior/Senior Quantity Surveyor – Post-Contract
Candidates will be considered for the appropriate position and seniority level based on their qualifications, experience and area of expertise. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply for junior-level opportunities.
You will have the opportunity to support infrastructure and underground utility projects involving high-voltage systems, data centres, substations and tunnelling works.
Costing & Contract Executive - Pre Contract and Tender
Responsibilities:
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications and Bills of Quantities.
- Prepare tender costing, pricing, cash flow projections and commercial proposals.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Attend tender briefings, site visits, clarification meetings and negotiations.
- Check tender requirements and ensure timely, accurate and compliant submissions.
- Assist in preparing construction methods, work programmes and technical submissions.
- Recommend suitable tender and pricing strategies for Management’s review.
- Prepare tender handover documents following successful project awards.
- Maintain tender records, cost data and commercial documentation.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
- Assist with tender-related correspondence and contract matters.
- Undertake other duties assigned by Management.
Junior/ Senior Quantity Surveyor - Post Contract
Responsibilities:
- Administer the commercial and contractual aspects of ongoing projects.
- Prepare, evaluate and monitor subcontractor and supplier quotations.
- Negotiate commercial terms and pricing with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Prepare Letters of Award, Work Orders and Purchase Orders for approval.
- Perform site measurements and evaluate work completed by subcontractors.
- Prepare and issue subcontractor payment certificates.
- Assist in preparing monthly progress claims and client invoices.
- Identify, prepare and track Variation Orders, claims and contractual notices.
- Monitor project costs, commitments and budget performance.
- Coordinate with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors on commercial matters.
- Compile supporting documents for claims, invoices and project cost reporting.
- Maintain accurate procurement, contract and commercial records.
- Support project close-out and final account preparation.
- Undertake other duties assigned by Management.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline.
- Junior position: Fresh graduates or candidates with up to three years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Senior position: Minimum three to five years of relevant experience in construction, infrastructure or utility projects.
- Knowledge of tendering, costing, contract administration, procurement, progress claims and Variation Orders is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of quantity surveying or procurement software is an advantage.
- Good communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Mandarin communication skills will be an added advantage for coordination with relevant clients and vendors.
- Willing to work in Bandar Mahkota Cheras and travel to project sites when required.
