Role Description

The Intern role at AOPG is a full-time, hybrid position based in Cyberjaya, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with tasks for content related projects or helping prepare for live events (logistics, registrations, data entry). The intern may contribute to basic editing, formatting, and uploading of content, as well as supporting virtual events and digital showcase activities.

Collaboration with editorial and digital teams is expected to ensure timely publication and consistent quality across platforms. The role provides hands-on experience in online publishing workflows, digital content management, and IT media operations.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to summarize information clearly and accurately.
• Basic research and information-gathering skills, including the ability to review sources and extract key insights.
• Comfort with digital tools and platforms, such as content management systems, collaboration tools, and virtual event technologies.
• Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision in a hybrid environment.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Communications, Journalism, IT, Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Familiarity with social media, basic graphics or video tools, and an understanding of online audiences is an advantage.
