Company Description Rise Intervention Programme Sdn Bhd (RISE) is a specialized center offering Early Intervention Programmes focused on holistic development for children on the Autism Spectrum. The center’s core mission is to prepare children for admission into mainstream learning institutions by strengthening foundational skills and confidence. RISE emphasizes equality in educational opportunity, ensuring every child has a fair chance to learn and thrive. Programmes range from play-based learning for toddlers to structured interventions that support communication, gross motor development, and academic readiness. Individualized education plans are designed to bridge competency gaps and help each child realize their full potential within a supportive environment.
Role Description The Special Needs Educator is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role involves planning and delivering individualized and group lessons for children on the Autism Spectrum, using play-based and structured teaching methods aligned with RISE’s Early Intervention Programme. The educator observes and assesses each child’s progress, adapts teaching strategies, and develops individualized education plans to support communication, social, cognitive, and motor skills. Daily tasks include preparing teaching materials, maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment, documenting progress, and providing feedback to families and colleagues. The educator collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support preparation for mainstream education and to ensure a consistent, child-centered approach.
Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly children on the Autism Spectrum, and understanding of diverse learning needs.
  • Strong teaching skills, with the ability to design and deliver age-appropriate lessons and individualized education plans in an early intervention or special education setting.
  • Background in special education or related fields, including knowledge of middle school or early childhood education pathways and preparation for mainstream schooling.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with children, families, and colleagues, including clear documentation and reporting of student progress.
  • Relevant academic qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Basic proficiency in behavior management strategies and classroom management in special needs settings.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development related to autism, early intervention, and inclusive education practices.
