Role Description The Legal Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Kota Damansara. The individual in this role will assist in drafting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents and correspondence, as well as preparing agreements for signing, client’s meetings, and legal quotation. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting property due diligence check and searches, analyzing relevant laws, and identifying potential legal issues and risks. The Legal Associate will communicate with clients, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to gather information, clarify instructions, and provide updates on matters. The role also involves supporting partner in case strategy, maintaining accurate case records, and ensuring that timelines and regulatory requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law, with the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and regulations such as National Land Code, Contracts Act, Companies Act, Stamp Act, RPGT Act, Solicitors Remuneration Order, Housing Development Act, Strata Act
• Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting contracts and legal correspondence.
• Well-developed Analytical Skills for assessing legal issues, evaluating evidence, and supporting bank’s loan disbursement strategy.
• Effective Communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, and external parties in a clear, professional manner.
• Ability to identify, assess, and manage Legal Issues across different types of matters.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) and CLP/ Bar.
• Comfort working on-site in a collaborative team environment in Kota Damansara.
• Prior experience in a law firm is an advantage.
