KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To assist the Hospital Engineer to oversee the daily operational matters of the Engineering Department.
• To supervise Project, FEMS, BEMS Coordinators.
• To assist the Hospital Engineer to train, manage and develop an in-house team of technical staffs responsible for engineering services.
• To assist the Hospital Engineer in planning, developing and implementing Planned
• Preventive Maintenance (PPM), Planned Corrective Maintenance (PCM), Routine Inspection and Predictive Maintenance programs for FEMS and BEMS.
• To assist Hospital Engineer to ensure the following infrastructures are properly and effectively maintained in cost effective ways - buildings, medical gas supply, fire fighting system (individual and central), water supply system, plumbing system, sewerage system, electrical system, pneumatic tube system, telecommunication system (PABX), audio visual equipment (TVs, VCRs), air-conditioning and ventilation systems, public address system, engineering plants & machineries.
• To ensure that medical devices are properly and cost-effectively maintained.
• To ensure PPM/BM/Uptime KPIs are met.
• To assist the Hospital Engineer to prepare a systematic program for the maintenance and replacement of Hospital's assets such as buildings, roads, pavement, equipment, engineering plants and machineries.
• To ensure that all relevant statutory requirements are met.
• To assist the Hospital Engineer for the training of staff in fire safety matters including fire prevention and control.
• To assist the Hospital Engineer to organize on-call arrangements, ensuring that Hospital is provided with emergency support in the event of service breakdown of the FEMS and BEMS.
• To assist Hospital Engineer to prepare guidelines by describing operational and testing methods and procedures.
• Ensuring operation of analytical equipment by calibrating equipment, completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
• To ensure that all systems are operating correctly, efficiently and safely.
• To ensure all supplies in the department ready by inventorying stocks, placing orders and verifying receipts.
• He/she shall assist Hospital Engineer to ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) are met. He/she shall monitor and review its performance regularly.
• To assist Hospital Engineer in Incident Reports and Risk Analysis.
• To undertake other duties as defined from time to time by the Hospital Engineer or the Chief Operating Officer which relate to the nature and responsibilities of the above position.

REQUIREMENTS

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline) and or Chargeman A4-1/A4/BO
