Procurement & Purchasing
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery performance, and service.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and promptly.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor order status and resolve delivery issues or delays.
- Coordinate urgent purchases to support production and operational requirements.
Supplier Management
- Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
- Conduct supplier performance evaluations based on quality, cost, and delivery.
- Assist in identifying and qualifying alternative suppliers.
- Participate in supplier audits and evaluations when required.
Inventory & Planning
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Warehouse, QA/QC, and Planning departments regarding material requirements.
- Ensure purchased materials meet production schedules.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate procurement records, quotations, contracts, and supplier information.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and approval limits.
- Verify invoices against Purchase Orders and Delivery Orders before submission to Accounts.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, HALAL, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO standards, and regulatory requirements where applicable.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Production, QA/QC, Warehouse, Accounts, and Logistics to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Support new product development by sourcing new materials and suppliers.
Reporting
- Prepare purchasing reports, supplier performance reports, and cost analysis.
- Maintain purchasing KPIs and procurement records.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
- Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills may also be considered.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement processes and inventory management.
- Understanding of food safety standards such as GMP, HACCP, HALAL, and FSSC 22000 is an advantage.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Willing to work on Saturday and Public Holidays when necessary
- Able to work at Shah Alam, Hicom Glenmarie
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
