Role Description This is a contract, on-site Software Tester role based in Selangor, Malaysia, focused on projects in the telecommunications domain. The Software Tester will execute test cases, validate system functionality, and report defects in line with established quality assurance processes. Responsibilities include reviewing requirements and specifications, designing and updating test scenarios, performing functional and regression testing, and documenting detailed test results. The role involves close collaboration with developers, business analysts, and project managers to clarify issues, verify fixes, and support release readiness. The tester will also contribute to process improvements, support test environment preparation, and ensure that telecom-related features meet performance and reliability expectations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Software Testing and Quality Assurance skills, with experience in structured test processes.
- Candidates should possess solid Test Execution skills and the ability to design and maintain clear, repeatable Test Cases.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills for troubleshooting issues, interpreting test results, and validating complex telecom scenarios.
- Relevant experience in the telecommunications domain or telecom projects is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with testing tools, defect tracking systems, and basic scripting or automation concepts is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on-site in Selangor, Malaysia, and manage priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
