Our client is a well-established multinational organisation with a growing Global Business Services centre in Malaysia. They are looking for an experienced R2R Manager to lead the Record-to-Report (R2R/GL) function and drive operational excellence across the finance team. Your New Role
As the R2R Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end General Ledger and Record-to-Report activities while leading a team of finance professionals. You will ensure timely month-end close, accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and continuous process improvements across the finance operation.
Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the General Ledger / R2R team to ensure service delivery excellence.
• Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and accounting requirements.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders across Finance, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, and Business teams.
• Drive finance transformation, automation, and process improvement initiatives.
• Support team development, coaching, and succession planning.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or CIMA will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of experience within General Ledger / Record-to-Report functions with audit experiences.
• Prior experience leading or supervising a finance team.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Experience within a Shared Services Centre (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) environment is highly preferred.
• Exposure to SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, Maconomy, or other ERP systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and continuous improvement mindset.
