Position: AI/ML Engineer

Location: Bangsar South / Sunway, Malaysia. Full time on-site only.

Position Summary:

As an AI Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing AI-powered solutions to enhance PetBacker’s platform and services. You will work closely with the product, engineering, and business teams to identify opportunities where AI can optimise user experience, improve service efficiency, and drive business growth. This role demands a strong understanding of machine learning, deep learning algorithms, and experience in developing and deploying AI models in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement AI models and algorithms to address specific business needs, such as pet and sitter matching, personalised recommendations, fraud detection, and demand forecasting.
• Analyse large datasets of user behaviour, pet profiles, and service provider information to identify patterns and insights that can be leveraged for AI model development.
• Build and maintain AI pipelines to ensure the efficient training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models in a production environment.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to integrate AI models into PetBacker’s platform and applications.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and deep learning to explore and recommend new technologies and techniques for continuous improvement.
• Contribute to building a culture of innovation by promoting the use of AI within the company and participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Core Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Amazon Web Services (AWS) for AI model development and deployment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Pay: RM4,001.85 - RM5,000.00 per month
