Role Description The Business Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Selangor, Malaysia. This role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, preparing technical and commercial proposals, and supporting tender activities. The Business Development Engineer will analyze project requirements, conduct market and competitor research, and collaborate with technical and project teams to develop solutions that meet client needs. Daily responsibilities include meeting potential clients, presenting company capabilities, maintaining relationships with existing clients, and tracking leads and opportunities in line with company growth objectives. The role also involves preparing reports, forecasts, and presentations that support strategic planning and sales decisions.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess project feasibility, evaluate market data, and support pricing and proposal decisions.
• Candidates should possess New Business Development and Business Development skills to identify opportunities, build pipelines, and convert prospects into projects.
• Candidates should possess Communication and Sales skills to present proposals, negotiate terms, and maintain professional relationships with clients and partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry, especially in a business development or technical sales capacity, is advantageous.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic CRM tools, with strong report-writing and presentation skills.
• Awareness of local construction regulations and standards in Malaysia is beneficial.
