Role Description

This is a full-time Senior Software Engineer role based in Petaling Jaya with a hybrid work arrangement. You take ownership of ULive's technical core: architecture, product delivery, and infrastructure - through a structured three-month handover from the current CTO, then hold end-to-end technical responsibility.

ULive is AI-powered live commerce infrastructure on the Meta platform. It automates orders from Facebook Live comments, updates inventory in real time, and handles payments and shipping so sellers focus on selling, ULive does the rest.

Day to day you design and ship features across the stack (Node.js, React, MongoDB, AWS), operate infrastructure and reliability on AWS, keep the codebase healthy as the product grows, and work with product and leadership on roadmap and delivery. Compensation is RM13-15k per month.

Qualifications

• Senior IC: you design systems and write production code
• Proven work on Node.js, React, MongoDB, and AWS
• Comfortable using AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, codex or similar) to ship production code
• Can walk through a system you designed - tradeoffs, production failures, and what you would change
• Comfortable as the technical decision-maker
• Clear communication with engineers and non-engineers
• Deep hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows is a huge plus
• Tech-lead or mentorship experience is a plus
• Taking over or modernising an existing production system is a plus
• Small-team or early-stage product experience is a plus
