Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, power systems, control panels, and electrical equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing devices and implement corrective actions.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Inspect electrical components, including transformers, circuit breakers, control panels, motors, and related equipment for faults or deterioration.
• Respond promptly to electrical breakdowns, power failures, and emergency maintenance requirements.
• Lead, coordinate, and guide technicians/electricians in daily maintenance and repair activities.
• Assign work and monitor the team's progress to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and on schedule.
• Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to team members during troubleshooting and repair work.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, vendors, and other departments for electrical and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable regulations, safety requirements, and company procedures.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, repairs, materials, and spare parts used.
• Support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Ensure team members comply with health, safety, and electrical safe-work practices.
• Perform other related electrical and facility maintenance duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Certificate/SKM/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related technical field.
• Chargeman/Wireman competency or relevant Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) certification/registration will be an added advantage or required depending on the scope of electrical work.
• Strong knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, motor control circuits, control panels, electrical components, and troubleshooting.
• Able to understand electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Competent in using electrical testing equipment and maintenance tools.
• Able to lead, coordinate, and provide technical guidance to a small maintenance team.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a hands-on working approach.
• Able to work independently and make appropriate decisions during breakdowns or emergency situations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willing to work overtime, shifts, weekends, or respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
