Key Responsibilities
- Perform TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel components, weldments, and assemblies according to approved welding procedures and work instructions.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications.
- Prepare materials for welding, including cleaning, fitting, alignment, and joint preparation.
- Set up and operate TIG welding equipment and ensure correct welding parameters are used.
- Produce high-quality welds that meet customer specifications and internal quality standards.
- Perform visual inspection of completed welds and identify defects requiring repair or rework.
- Carry out weld repairs as required while maintaining product quality requirements.
- Use measuring tools and gauges to verify dimensions and weld quality.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine housekeeping and basic preventive maintenance.
- Comply with all safety, health, environmental, and PPE requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, productivity, and reduce welding defects.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve welding-related issues.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records as required.
Requirements
- Minimum SKM, Diploma or equivalent technical qualification.
- Valid TIG Welding Certification (preferred).
- AWS, ASME, or equivalent welding qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum 1–3 years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience welding stainless steel sheet metal, tubing, and fabricated components.
- Experience in precision welding for high-quality industrial products is preferred.
- Proficient in TIG (GTAW) welding techniques.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and welding symbols.
- Knowledge of stainless steel welding processes and material characteristics.
- Familiarity with welding quality standards and inspection requirements.
- Skilled in using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, measuring tapes, and weld gauges.
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to stand for extended periods during production.
- Able to lift materials up to company-approved weight limits.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with appropriate PPE.
- Good eyesight and hand-eye coordination for precision welding.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,200.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kota Kemuning: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
