Key Responsibilities
- Customer Due Diligence (CDD): Review onboarding documents for new individual and corporate clients to confirm their true identity and ownership structures.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate customer profiles and assign risk ratings (Low, Medium, or High) based on location, business type, and transaction nature.
- Screening: Check customer names against Sanctions lists, Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) databases, and adverse media reports.
- Periodic Reviews: Update existing client files and documentation to ensure records stay current and compliant with internal and regulatory standards.
- Escalations: Flag suspicious activities or unresolved discrepancies to the compliance or legal team for deeper investigation.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Analytical Mindset: High attention to detail with the ability to spot irregularities in legal documents and financial data.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) frameworks.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal skills to request missing documents or coordinate with front-office staff and clients.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with internal databases, screening software, and public research registries.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Law, Economics, or a related field.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
