SITUATION VACANT

Position: Project Engineer

Department: Engineering

Reports To: General Manager and Chief Technical Officer (CTO)

Job Purpose

The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the General Manager and CTO in delivering automation projects efficiently and effectively. This role involves managing project activities, ensuring technical accuracy, and leading project teams to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

1. Project Management Support

• Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing automation projects (e.g., robotics, PLC systems, industrial IoT).
• Track project schedules, budgets, and resource usage.
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO, ANSI, IEC) and safety regulations.

2. Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise, guide, and mentor technicians and junior team members.
• Delegate tasks, conduct performance evaluations, and support training activities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, and Finance.

3. Technical Oversight

• Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, schematics, and automation solutions.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues related to PLCs (MELSEC, Omron, Siemens), HMIs, and control systems.
• Support the development and integration of new automation technologies.

4. Process & Quality Improvement

• Identify process inefficiencies and propose technical improvements.
• Ensure quality assurance for automated systems and machinery.

5. Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate with clients to understand technical and automation requirements.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals, project reports, and presentations.
• Provide post-installation support, system tuning, and maintenance guidance.

6. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain complete and up-to-date project documentation (BOMs, SOPs, manuals).
• Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards (NIOSH, DOSH).

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation (PLC/SCADA/robotics).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/SolidWorks or equivalent engineering software.
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (including MS Project).

Salary Range

RM3,000 – RM4,500 plus allowances
