About the Role
We are seeking an analytical and hands-on QC Engineer to lead quality control operations in our automotive electronics manufacturing facility. You will implement quality control plans, lead defect resolution using structured problem-solving methodologies, and ensure total compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection checklists, and testing procedures for components and finished assemblies.
- Lead incoming (IQC), in-process (IPQC), and outgoing (OQC) inspections against engineering specifications.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone) for internal non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Monitor and analyze quality metrics (yield, scrap rate, CPK) to drive continuous production improvements.
- Participate actively in New Product Introduction (NPI) and PPAP submissions (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC).
- Coordinate regular process audits and support customer and external certification audits (IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of quality engineering experience in automotive electronics or semiconductor/electronics manufacturing.
- Solid working knowledge of IATF 16949, core automotive tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC), and 8D reporting.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, multimeter).
- Familiarity with SMT processes, soldering standards, and IPC specifications is a strong plus.
- Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is a plus to communicate with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
