Role Description

This is a full-time Content Creator role based in Petaling Jaya with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the Content Creator will research and visit locations across Malaysia, gather information and stories, and create engaging written, visual, and social media content that highlights each place’s unique appeal. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing content ideas, producing short-form videos, photo stories, and social posts, and collaborating with the editorial and marketing teams to ensure consistent brand voice and quality. The Content Creator will also manage content calendars, optimise content for digital platforms, and track performance to refine future content. Occasional on-site visits, interviews, and event coverage will be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Strong content creation skills, including writing, storytelling, and basic photography or videography for digital platforms.
• Experience with social media content production and familiarity with platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
• Ability to research locations, verify information, and translate findings into clear, engaging, and accurate content.
• Basic skills in content planning, editorial calendars, and collaboration with designers, editors, or marketers.
• Comfort with on-site work, including visiting venues, interviewing stakeholders, and capturing content in the field.
• Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or other local languages is an advantage.
• Attention to detail, reliable time management, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment.
• Previous experience in media, journalism, digital content creation, or related fields is beneficial; a diploma or degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, or a similar discipline is preferred but not mandatory.
