• Preparing and setting up of breakfast, lunch and dinner trays for every ward.
• Sending and collecting of wagons from all wards.
• Opening up of Doctors' Lounge at 7.45 am and closing up at 6.00 pm.
• Washing of all patients' crockery, all used pots and utensils and storing in their respective areas and cupboards.
• Counting and checking of cutlery from all wards daily and also Doctors' Lounge.
• Deep cleaning of the catering department daily as allocated on the duty roster.
• Assist the cooks with preparation of any raw materials for cooking and fruit cutting.
• Carry out the cutting and proper storage of meat and vegetables as scheduled in the weekly duty roster.
• Responsible for receiving stock deliveries from vendors. All items must be properly labeled upon receipt and recorded using the product quality checklist. The ‘First In, First Out’ (FIFO) & ‘First Expiry, First Out’ (FEFO) system must be followed for all chilled, frozen and groceries items.
• Maintain and record temperatures all equipment's in the catering department and promptly report any repair or malfunctions.
• In case of any internal events or community disasters, to perform any extra duties as assigned.
• Responsible for answering incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages, and promptly relaying information to the Food Services Officer or Kitchen Aides II.
• To perform any other catering duties which may be assigned by the Dietitian (Food Services) & Sous Chef.
