Develop, review, and coordinate project plans, designs, schedules, and execution strategies in collaboration with architects, engineers, surveyors, and other relevant stakeholders.
Establish and manage project schedules, allocate responsibilities, monitor progress, and coordinate activities between internal teams, contractors, and subcontractors.
Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, project requirements, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve potential delays, technical issues, resource constraints, and operational challenges.
Ensure compliance with site safety procedures and requirements, promote safe working practices, and coordinate with Main Contractors and clients on safety matters.
Attend safety meetings, site walks, project meetings, and client meetings when required.
Manage and coordinate construction workers, subcontractors, materials, machinery, and equipment to ensure sufficient resources are available for project execution.
Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure work is completed according to the required quality, safety, cost, and timeline expectations.
Serve as the key liaison between clients, project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication throughout the project.
Prepare and/or review monthly project progress reports, daily reports, and other reports submitted by project teams.
Check and verify project documentation and ensure proper records are maintained.
Manage and monitor the project budget, project expenditure, resource utilisation, and cost control.
Maintain strong and professional relationships with clients and promptly address any project-related concerns or issues.
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Quantity Surveying, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in construction, project management, site management, or a related environment.
Prior experience managing construction projects from planning through completion is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, site coordination, quality control, and safety requirements.
Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, construction workers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Good understanding of project budgeting, cost monitoring, resource planning, and project reporting.
Able to read and understand construction drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
Strong project planning, coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Good leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve site-related issues effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in managing client and contractor relationships.
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project planning software such as Microsoft Project or equivalent would be advantageous.
Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform effectively in a site-based and deadline-driven environment.
Willing to travel to and/or be stationed at project sites when required.
