Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 20 Hours Per Week | Basic Pay + Sales Commission

LVL Music is looking for a confident, proactive and sales-driven Part-Time Sales Assistant to join our team.

This is primarily a customer-facing sales role. Your main responsibility is to serve prospective students, parents and retail customers, understand their needs, recommend suitable lessons, musical instruments or accessories, and help turn enquiries into sales.

This position is open to students, interns, fresh graduates and individuals looking for part-time work experience. Previous music industry experience is not required — training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve walk-in customers and provide a welcoming, professional experience.

• Handle customer enquiries and assist prospective students and parents.

• Convert enquiries into trial lessons and student enrolments.

• Assist customers in choosing suitable violins, cellos, bows, cases, strings and accessories.

• Explain differences between products and recommend suitable options based on the customer's needs, level and budget.

• Upsell and cross-sell instruments and accessories where appropriate.

• Follow up with prospective customers and help close sales.

• Assist with basic instrument-related services such as changing violin strings. Training can be provided.

• Check stock levels and ensure products and displays are properly organised.

• Support basic customer service and administrative duties when required.

• Work closely with the academy's admin and sales team to ensure customers receive a smooth experience.

• Confident speaking with customers and comfortable selling.

• Able to understand customers' needs and make suitable recommendations.

• Proactive rather than waiting for customers to ask for assistance.

• Comfortable explaining the value of better-quality products rather than simply selling the cheapest option.

• Friendly, professional and customer-service oriented.

• Responsible, organised and reliable.

• Good written and spoken English.

• Must be available to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

• Retail, sales, customer-service or education experience is an advantage.

• Music or musical-instrument knowledge is helpful but not essential, as training will be provided.

• Approximately 20 hours per week

Compensation

• Competitive hourly basic pay
