JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a hands-on and technically competent Engineering Assistant Executive to support our Engineering and Production operations. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of relevant experience in the metal fabrication/manufacturing industry, strong SolidWorks and engineering drawing skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, modify and maintain 2D/3D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and specifications.
- Provide technical support to Production/Workshop on engineering and drawing-related matters.
- Assist in resolving production and fabrication issues.
- Prepare and maintain BOM, material specifications and engineering documentation.
- Coordinate with Production, QA/QC, Procurement and other departments.
- Assist with engineering reports, data analysis and presentations.
- Support process improvement and engineering projects when required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in metal fabrication, steel fabrication, sheet metal or manufacturing industry.
- Strong working knowledge of SolidWorks.
- Able to read, interpret and prepare engineering/technical drawings.
- Good understanding of metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and other metal materials is an advantage.
- Familiar with BOM, material specifications, measurements and technical documentation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Google Workspace.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible and able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Hands-on, practical and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willing to commute to or relocate near the workplace.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
