Job Description

Based on business needs, responsibilities may include the following:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
• Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain RESTful APIs to enable secure and reliable data exchange between enterprise applications and external services.
• Develop and optimise data integration processes to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely data availability.
• Build, maintain, and enhance enterprise data warehouses, data marts, and analytical data models.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects to support reporting and analytics.
• Integrate internal and external data sources using APIs, databases, and automated workflows.
• Perform API testing, troubleshooting, authentication, monitoring, and documentation to ensure seamless system integration.
• Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and business insights that support decision-making.
• Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Monitor data quality, validate data accuracy, and implement data governance and security best practices.
• Optimise database performance, ETL jobs, and API integrations to improve reliability and operational efficiency.
• Support cloud-based data platforms, data migration activities, and enterprise integration projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, data flow diagrams, API specifications, and operational procedures.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions.
• Participate in system enhancements, Agile development activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to team members while evaluating new technologies and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Strong experience with Python, SQL, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Hands-on experience in RESTful API development, API integration, API testing (Postman), JSON, XML, and API authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with ETL/ELT development, data integration, and data transformation.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar Business Intelligence tools.
• Experience with relational databases, data warehousing, and dimensional modelling.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an Agile environment while managing multiple priorities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
