Job Summary
We are looking for a Scrum Master with 2–4 years of experience to facilitate Agile/Scrum practices and support cross-functional technology teams in delivering software projects effectively. The successful candidate will help the team follow Scrum principles, remove impediments, improve collaboration, and promote continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Act as a servant leader and support the development team in achieving Sprint and project objectives.
- Remove or escalate impediments, blockers, and dependencies affecting team delivery.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the Product Backlog is properly maintained and prioritised.
- Monitor Sprint progress, velocity, burndown/burnup charts, and other Agile metrics.
- Promote Agile principles, Scrum practices, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Facilitate communication between developers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders.
- Identify delivery risks, dependencies, and potential delays and coordinate appropriate actions.
- Support the team in maintaining a sustainable Sprint cadence and improving delivery predictability.
- Encourage collaboration, transparency, accountability, and self-organisation within the team.
- Help resolve conflicts and facilitate effective decision-making within the team.
- Coordinate with other Scrum Masters or project teams where there are cross-team dependencies.
- Prepare and provide Agile/Scrum progress updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Support Agile transformation initiatives and adoption of Agile best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Coordinator, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role.
- Good understanding of Scrum Framework, Agile methodologies, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and managing Sprint activities.
- Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional technology teams.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
- Ability to track and interpret Agile metrics such as velocity, burndown, cycle time, and Sprint progress.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II)
- SAFe Scrum Master certification
- PMI-ACP or other Agile-related certification.
- Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, telecommunications, semiconductor, or other enterprise environments is an advantage.
