Retail Associate – GABRIEL Malaysia

About GABRIEL

GABRIEL is one of China's leading premium plush toy and lifestyle brand known for its distinctive designs, high-quality materials and emotionally engaging products (350+ stores in China and started expanding internationally). As we launch our first retail store in Malaysia, we are looking for friendly, energetic and customer-focused Retail Associates to join our founding team.

The Role

As a Retail Associate, you will be the face of GABRIEL in-store, creating a welcoming and memorable experience for every customer.

You will assist customers with product selection, drive sales, maintain attractive product displays and support the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities

Welcome and engage customers in a friendly and professional manner.

Understand customers’ needs and recommend suitable GABRIEL products.

Develop strong product knowledge and communicate product features, collections and stories to customers.

Work towards individual and store sales targets.

Support upselling and cross-selling in a natural, customer-focused manner.

Operate the POS system and process cash, card and digital payments accurately.

Assist with stock receiving, replenishment and inventory counts.

Ensure products are properly displayed, priced and maintained according to GABRIEL’s visual merchandising standards.

Keep the store clean, organised and visually appealing.

Assist with product launches, promotions, events and other in-store activities.

Work closely with the Retail Supervisor and other team members to ensure smooth store operations.

Provide customer feedback and product requests to the supervisor/management.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred, but enthusiastic candidates with the right attitude are welcome to apply.

Friendly, confident and comfortable engaging with customers.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Sales-oriented with a positive and proactive attitude.

Responsible, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.

Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage.

Comfortable working retail shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Interest in plush toys, collectibles, lifestyle products or character brands is an advantage.
