Job Role: Mechanical Engineer (Data Center Facilities)

Employer: Data center operations & digital infrastructure services

Location: Kulai, Johor, Malaysia

Job Type: Full Time – On Site

Experience: Minimum 3 years' experience in Data Centre or Critical Facilities with knowledge of chilled water and precision cooling system and familiar with BMS.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Operations & Maintenance

- Operate and maintain CRAC, CRAH, Chiller, Pumps, Cooling Towers, AHU, Water Treatment and associated mechanical systems.

- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

- Coordinate vendor maintenance activities.

2. Emergency Response & Recovery

- Execute EOP during cooling failures and mechanical emergencies.

- Restore and stabilize cooling systems following maintenance or incidents.

- Respond to alarms and abnormal operating conditions.

3. Monitoring & Reliability

- Monitor mechanical systems through BMS.

- Identify equipment abnormalities and recommend corrective actions.

- Support continuous improvement of cooling system reliability.

4. Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain maintenance records and incident reports.

- Update SOP, MOP and EOP where required.

- Comply with safety requirements and LOTO procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENT

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Data Centre or Critical Facilities.
• Knowledge of chilled water and precision cooling systems.

Familiar with BMS.
