Facilities CHARGEMAN AO / A1.

Location: Bandar Bukit Raja, Klang, Selangor.

MST Facilities Sdn Bhd is looking for a competent and hands-on Facilities Chargeman AO/A1 to join our facilities operations team supporting major automated and multi-tenanted warehouse facilities at Bukit Bandar Raja, Klang.

The successful candidate will work closely with the BO Chargeman 11kV cum Facilities Operations Lead, M&E Facilities Engineer, HVAC/Mechanical Technicians and other site personnel to ensure the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Operations & Maintenance:

• Operate, monitor and maintain LV electrical distribution systems and associated equipment.
• Carry out routine inspection of electrical panels, switchboards, DBs, MCCs and related equipment.
• Monitor electrical parameters and identify abnormal conditions.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules.
• Attend to electrical breakdowns, faults and work orders promptly.
• Carry out basic electrical troubleshooting and rectification within competency.
• Assist the BO Chargeman with electrical switching, isolation and shutdown activities where required.
• Monitor electrical equipment condition and report potential failures or safety risks.
• Maintain electrical operation logs, inspection checklists and maintenance records.
  
  

Facilities Operations Support

• Support the BO Chargeman 11kV cum Facilities Operations Lead in day-to-day site operations.
• Coordinate with HVAC/mechanical technicians, Building Services Supervisor and specialist contractors when electrical support is required.
• Support planned shutdowns, testing, inspection and maintenance activities.
• Assist during emergency situations, power interruptions and electrical incidents.
• Ensure electrical rooms, switch rooms and plant areas are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve electrical system reliability and energy efficiency.
  
  

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
• Comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga requirements and applicable electrical safety regulations.
• Follow MST and customer HSE requirements.
• Adhere to permit-to-work, lock-out/tag-out and electrical isolation procedures.
• Report electrical hazards, defects and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Participate in emergency drills, incident response and corrective actions.
  
  

Contractor Coordination

• Support specialist electrical contractors during maintenance and testing activities.
• Verify completion of assigned electrical works.
• Ensure contractors comply with site safety requirements and approved work procedures.
• Report contractor performance or workmanship issues to the BO Chargeman / Facilities Engineer.
  
  

Requirements

• Valid Chargeman AO or A1 competency certification recognised by Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
• Minimum 2–3 years' relevant experience in electrical operation and maintenance.
• Experience with LV distribution systems, switchboards, DBs, MCCs and electrical equipment.
• Experience in industrial, warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, commercial or MNC facilities is preferred.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety and maintenance practices.
• Able to perform electrical troubleshooting and basic fault finding.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work independently and respond to breakdowns when required.
• Willing to work shifts, standby or on-call arrangements where required.
  
  

Added Advantages

Candidates with the following experience will have an advantage:

• Experience working in large industrial or automated warehouse facilities.
• Experience with standby generators, ATS/AMF systems and UPS.
• Experience with electrical preventive maintenance programmes.
• Experience working under an IFM environment.
• Additional electrical competency certifications.
• Experience working with multinational customers and strict HSE requirements.
