Role: Lab Technician (1 Year Contract)

Location: Subang Jaya, Selangor

About the Opportunity

We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Lab Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our laboratory. In this role, you will assist with personal care sample preparation, stability testing, laboratory equipment maintenance, and inventory management while ensuring accurate testing, proper documentation, and a safe, well-organized laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare personal care product samples accurately and according to established laboratory procedures.
• Assist in conducting ongoing stability testing and monitoring of samples.
• Perform daily calibration, routine checks, and basic maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Operate laboratory instruments and support testing activities within the Microstructure and Application Labs.
• Prepare, organize, and coordinate samples for submission to the QC Laboratory for testing.
• Manage and monitor raw material inventory to ensure adequate stock availability for laboratory activities.
• Monitor laboratory consumables and coordinate timely replenishment when required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and standardized laboratory workspace in accordance with laboratory practices.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to laboratory activities, samples, testing, and inventory.
• Provide general laboratory and operational support as required.

Key Requirements, Skills & Experience

• Diploma, Technical Certificate, Associate qualification, or equivalent in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Applied Chemistry, or a related technical/scientific field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant laboratory experience, preferably within personal care, cosmetics, chemical, FMCG, or a related manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, equipment, and testing methods.
• Good understanding of laboratory practices, documentation requirements, and attention to detail.
• Prior hands-on experience in a Microstructure Lab, Pilot Lab, or Application Lab would be an added advantage.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with laboratory and cross-functional teams.
• Organized and capable of managing samples, raw materials, consumables, and routine laboratory activities.
• Willing to work overtime between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM and on Saturdays when required during peak operational periods.
